The restoration of Oomoo began in hartz cat vitamins August 2004. Firstly, all the seats and trimmings had to be removed so we could see the scary truth of what had to be done. We pulled off the old rowlocks and M cut out all the rot he could find. In the first few hours of working on him, M realised that Oomoo was a very well built boat.

Built without fibreglass, Oomoo relied on boatbuilding craftsmanship to stay afloat. Ribbed inards, scarfed joins and copper nails were de rigueur - and went towards creating an simple, but elegant design. Click here to see initial costs.
