The fit out is classed as the fun bit - finding the odds and ends that will help to create an actual boat. While restoration involves grunt work, sanding, scraping, shaping and many cups of coffee - the fit out relys on boat chandlerys, ebay, the local classefieds, friends, neighbours and general ingenuity.

The oars and their accompanying hardware were an early Christmas present from my Dad, while the ex-Sabot sail was bought on Ebay. I found the anchor at the local market, our neighbour helped us out with some bits and pieces, and the motor (a Suzuki 3.5hp - very cute) was bought from a dodgy bloke called Kev Lawson - who failed to point out some rather essential corrosion. We should have picked up on it - and now we've learnt our lesson.
