I think you're right. I was just being cheap. I think I'm going to be using (eek) SawStudio - although it will be a bit of a learning curve. I got a bit proficient in Saw32 and SawPro, so I'm going to give it a try. I think I'll need to double my RAM. [sigh]

In regard to the RESET LED - I have a feeling that the two little wires that connect into the power supply from the front panel include the RESET LED. I'm going to try turning it on tomorrow night. I got my dual LCD's on Friday, so I am waiting for a clear headed, confident moment. I think I may unplug all hard drives before I turn it on for the first time...

Oh sorry - missed the last question - did a little look-see - should be no problems with the Matrox and the motherboard.

Also 1Gb of RAM? Try it out but you might need more. Not sure how RAM-intensive sound apps are but I would assume fairly so. Have you got a package(s) you are going to use? I can ask a mate of mine whose spare room resembles a small sea of audio/computer equipment. :)

Well the RESET LED is usually the wires for the reset button and/or a light next to the button. Do you have such a beastie on your front panel?

The GND usually terminates on a jumper called the same. If there is none then you probably don't need it.

Additionally you don't always have to connect all wires. Depending on your config you might have left-overs.

Have to checked the manual - http://asia.giga-byte.com/MotherBoard/FileList/Manual/manual_k8ns%20ultra-939_e.pdf?
