I suppose cards and birthdays kind of go together. So it’s a big Happy Birthday to my esteemed friend David. Not only is his birthday on a Saturday, it is also on Honeybone Day. That’s right, all his namesakes have declared the 5th of June to be a global celebration of Honeybone. Check it out. On the topic of cards, there is an article about greeting card writers in Cordite. I have always wanted to be a proper professional greeting card writer (and a novelist, a rock star, a webhead, a feature writer, a woman of independent means….) *sigh* so this was v.interesting to me. Yesterday while going through the greeting cards in Myer for the aformentioned celebration I saw one in a familiar style. Very cool and snappy. Sure enough, I turned it over to check the name of the artist and it was Neryl Walker - who should have been world famous years ago for the excellent designs she created for the first three Bidston Moss releases ;o)
