This is so sad! I was looking at Rootes Group cars for sale in Australia and found this awful picture of two little Hillman’s in a paddock. Here. WHO is the loser that would do their shooting ‘practice’ on a car?? Particularly this one (a new plastic bumper barred no-soulmobile I could begin to understand) - it’s kind of like a teeny panel van - sort of like those old Ford Escorts. *sigh* I think if I had a property I would collect sad little cars like this and keep them in a nice warm shed…actually, a shed like my dad is building…at his house in the country!
[Looks thoughtful]
Got this from my brother in the UK today; I s’pose a lot of people have seen it already: Frodo Has Failed. Just finished Humphery Carpenter’s biog of Tolkien today. I had read it ages ago but thought I’d read it again having seen the movies recently. It’s great. Very reccommended.
Haven’t been feeling wondrous since my return home. I feel like everything is getting on top of me. Thesis, essay, ten page short punchy report, parent’s birthdays on the weekend, bills to be paid, cats to flea, shopping that needs to be done, dead plants in garden and dragging myself to work every morning. I’m drowning in the inconsequentials. Need to move to the country and eat a lot of…oysters.
Hey (forgive that self indulgence) do other people just see my BlogAmp tracks listed down the left had side with just titles or with all the track times and stuff as well? I see one thing at home and another at work. Claire? Scott? (Though Scott you are probably thinking of me as baby-with-the-one-eyebrow for not emailing for a while - just blink once for titles only and twice for all that track time bits-per-minute crud).

I used to use blogamp myself, but I never like the way that it always had the last track listed, no matter if winamp was open or not.
You might want to give currently hearing a go

Beth typed this on Jan 31 03 at 12:14 pmAh, just had a look. I think I will swap over - sounds like an improvement. My page is being all weird, some text too small to read - but this happens only at work, not home. Head hurts.

[loooooong extended pause, about the length of time it takes to notice that grass has grown in a drought season with water rationing]
All right, I can’t just leave it at that! Have to mention some flaw in WinAmp I read about that could leave files vulnerable, and since you’re apparently linking WinAmp to Web use, you might wanna take a lookie here: http://www.mp3newswire.net/stories/2002/MP3virus.html
Can’t say I’m too enamored with your recent behavior, no, but not because of your turtlelike withdrawl (except regarding Doodle2 - am only somewhat relieved to discern that the second drawing didn’t kill you in a fit of hysteria, considering the severe sore rib syndrome elicited by the first - but what WAS the reaction then???) It’s just that I now find it hard to relate to a squanderer of free tickets! WTF??!?!! Instead of kicking holes in the wall or other people, try turning the boot on youself sometime - that might get the message through! I tried to constructively point out those erratic unreliable time sensibilities of yours, only to be met by scoffs. Well, that hen has come to roost (there’s some genuine rural lingo for ya!) Quite unconscionable. Not to mention a royal rotter
Poor Beet.
