Death By Housework

Christmas for a pagan is all about three things
Not four calling birds or five golden rings
But the things that really matter – they make everything more pleasant
The first is food…the second is Present!
And the third thing happens when glasses go ‘clink’
    Number three? A celebration drink!

Christmas for a Cat can be thrilling or quite boring
Depending on whether your owners are adoring
You could be given tinned food – the same as any other day
Or you might be slurping oysters from solid silver tray
Sitting underneath the table is strongly recommended
(Stay there until the end when the pickings should be splendid)
Christmas for a Cat should always be quite special
    Nothing rhymes with special.

    The End.

I am soooo tired from cleaning this house. It’s the size of a caravan – a little 80-year-old terrace with a long hallway with two bedrooms and a bathroom coming off it – then leading to the kitchen and lounge. However it seems to have eaten the last two days of my life. This is what happens when you invite your parents for Christmas and temporary insanity causes you to forget that they also double as your landlords. I will have my first drink when my mother wonders out load why we have changed the blue carpet for grey. We haven’t. Dirt does that.

I’ve added an MP3 link over there on the left hand side - thought I’d stick with the theme and go for the cover of the seminal Rolf Harris tune - ‘Six White Boomers’. If you are confused, the title refers to large white kanagroos that deliver presents in Australia - reindeer can’t cope with the heat here.

Today I ate four prawns, avocado dip, salad, four apricots and pikelets with lemon and sugar. Yes, Christmas is kicking in! Hope everyone has a good one!
